I have spent hours REMOVING annoying voice-related features from my mobile devices. They never work and are a pain to set up. I don't like to talk to my phone in public because it annoys me when other people do. Now the hold-down-a-key-to-call speed dial... That I can't live without. I use it twenty or thirty times in the average day. I don't look down to use it. And I don't annoy people by saying "Mom", or "Home" in a mechanical voice in public like you do. Missing that is one reason I don't call out using Google Voice. Missing the built-in phonebook is the other reason. I'd like it to simply be the call interface on the device, with all shortcuts, red/green keys, and other conveniences intact. If they would only incorporate a voice command system that is linked to your phone book that would work similar to their 411 system that they already have.
