Run Android in Windows and Linux with VirtualBox.

This video shows you how to run Google Android on your Linux or Windows machine using VirtualBox. If you are running Windows you’ll need to go and download VirtualBox from VirtualBox.org and if you’re running Ubuntu or Debian Linux all you have to do is install VirtualBox from your package manager. If you’re in Ubuntu it is easier to just use the Snaptic package manager to search for and install VirtualBox.

Next you’re going to need to download the Android ISO file located here. (let me know if the link ever breaks, I have a copy on my server.) Save this file to a folder on you’re PC, you’ll need it once we get going with the Android on VirtualBox video.

My audio seems a little choppy some times, sorry about that.

If you want to install a native version of Ubuntu on a thumb drive check out this file here. if you are in Linux you can write this file directly to your thumb drive using the DD command.

If you want to write the ISO file to a thumb drive, check out this tutorial, Easily write ISO files to USB drives.
