Wireless Booster – Cantenna Review
Recently a friend informed me of this antenna you can buy that lets you pick up virtually tons of wireless connection in your area. He’s been using it for some time now, and he says he has about 10 wireless connections to choose from. 5 of those connections had one bar without the wireless booster antenna, and now they have almost full bars.
It’s called a Cantenna, a cool product that lets you pick up those pesky wireless connections that happen to be just out of range. A full setup runs about $100, but you don’t have to pay for monthly Internet access. I have 4 connections that I can “barley” connect to. 9.9 times out of 10 I can not connect because I am a tad too far away.
The Cantenna packages comes with a really nice USB Wireless adapter, and it supports scanning mode which is cool for you wireless sniffing hackers. I was able to pick up all sorts of connections I couldn’t get before with just the new USB Wireless adapter. After hooking up the Cantenna, I got even more! I was able to hop on a connection right away using this.
Well worth it for what you get.
